08.05::
This is our satalite speaker bracket (ceiling mount):
Grilles are up!
Grilles & Window @ S.Balcony
Grilles @ L.Balcony
Problems found:
1) Living hall is not bright enough. Bright as in bright enough to read and write at night without having to switch on the Halogen lights. We have decided to install another 3 double tube downlights at the living hall.
2) Kitchen seems not bright enough too. Have bought 2 pcs of 22W round lights for the kitchen. But still feel the brightness can be improved. We have decided to 'upgrade'/'upsize' the kitchen lights.
3) Dining lights got wrong 'facing'. Bought wrong lights. Have to change!
4) 2 bedroom lights and 4 downlights are faulty. Have to go back Ch*ls*a to replace it.
Comments:
- Was wondering how come so many faulty lights for my purchase? Was it standalone case or Ch*ls*a's products tends to be lacking of QC checks??
- Our electrician commented that Phil*ps PLC is not as good as Osr*m ones. Argh, how come he don't highlight to us EARLIER?! Not his fault, i noe... Jus wanna vent my frustration. :(
Stress: Mr Limau was at the house with the electrician yesterday. He measured and cracked head for the lighting positions, the speakers position, getting the brackets and audo cables last minute... We aren't expert in audio system thats why alot of things we only learn it the last minutes... Mr Limau is trying his best to get the best fixture positions, and prefer to be there to discuss with the workers directly then to go through ID. He feels when he is on site, he can visualize the effects better. My stress is more of liasing with ID over the phone, while his is more of having to run around to get things, to oversee the installation/work and to be able to make instant decision with the workers on site. Thanks dear!
Our renovation is consider a not-so-stressful process, our ID has been nice and trustworthy, workers have been responsible, workmanship is nice and renovation has been pretty smooth. We was wondering if the designer was to be blamed for not able to see the dim effects on the living hall. Hmm... but i don't think this will pose as a big challenge to resolve the problem.
Keeping my fingers crossed, hoping our renovation experience will remain as good as it is now. Heard too much reno-victim stories! ;-p
09.05 OK, all the 4 problems have solved with $180 expense.

MBR light (with Halogen lights at 4 corners + LED at the circumference, with the 2 fluroscent lamps of cos) Stay tune to see the effects!
BR2 light (2x fluroscent lamps with 4 halogen bulbs at corners)
Went to get some Monster cables too. Gotten the best price from Ad*lph*.
(TIRING! Went back to Ch*ls*a sooo many times... *frustrated)

we also got some probs with our purchase frm Ch*ls*a lightings. they brought one wrong bulb but managed to get the replacement on the same day.
but one of the light holder for my kitchen light is spolit, only realised it after the installation few days later then my dad said very troublesome to ask them to bring down and change so he changed it himself with the spare one he had.
i also bought a floor lamp frm them but haven't test yet. hopefully nothing's wrong with it :P
jessi, u better check. got 1 rectangle lights, the bulb no problem, but the bracket / glass are not in good condition. the glass got no screw thread, the bracket's paint film is peeling. i believe one will saw the defects only when going to install the lights...
Guess what!
We decided to check take the floor lamp out today to enjoy it and we realised that the power cable is white instead of the black requested and best still..the switch cannot hold!
Now must go back..make some noise and make them come back with another one!
OMG. The thing is, getting it changed is NOT a problem. But its ley-chey to keep going back for exchanges/replacements. Plus the parking there is gone case. Lucky things its still within Jurong. Can't imagine if the shop is in Balestier, Geylang...
